Geek.com reported this morning that ASUS beat out Samsung for the building of the Nexus 10 refresh. This contradicts July stories that Samsung would build the Nexus 10. Samsung was the original manufacturer for the 10-inch display tablet but sales have not met expectations. A refresh might help the Google branded product considering the Nexus 2013 by ASUS has some impressive specifications.
ASUS was founded in 1989 by four former Acer engineers. The company name came from Pegasus. The company made its name and reputation based on motherboards.
