First Tablet deployment in Los Angeles school district

At NECC I met Dina Kraemer who was excited about their new Tablet PC deployment at Hamilton High in Los Angeles. This is first substantial deployment of Tablet PCs in the L.A. school district. They’re starting with 120 Tablets and at least for this year the Tablets will be kept at the school. Next year, Dina was telling me that they want to expand the program so that students can take the Tablet PCs home with them. She wants to have all their textbooks, assignments, and projects all stored on the Tablets.

Here’s a local newscast that talks about the new Tablet PC program. The news report ran on July 4th and will be online for one week.
