Over time Windows seems to get slower and slower. CNet reports that with Windows Vista Microsoft is trying to do something about it.
One of the new features: SuperFetch. According to CNet: “SuperFetch basically studies the programs that an individual user frequently runs and loads them into memory automatically.”
Good to hear that work is being in to address the sluggishness issue. Is this kind of a cross between startup and hibernate?
I use hibernate almost all of the time. It’s great to be able to suspend what I’m doing and pop right back into things when Windows starts up again. I’m hooked.
