Intel Releases New Processors

It’s so easy to get lost in the plethora of the Intel processor models. Heck, most of us are numb and simply look at features and wonder what is so different. Fortunately, Intel does a nice job of listing all of the processors and it’s just a matter of committing time to review the features.

Intel released three new processors this week: models Z3785, Z3736F, and Z3736G.

The Intel® Atom™ Processor Z3785 is an exciting chip because the Max Memory Bandwidth is 21.3 GB/s. OK. Now, how does it perform once the chip is in the tablet? This is really up to the tablet manufacturer but you can expect it to be placed in premium models.

The two other SKUs are most likely for the mass market: They are the Z3736F and Z3736G.

As an aside, tomorrow’s quarterly results released by Intel may shed light on the direction and success of the Internet of Things. It should also shine light on how the company is doing in the tablet market.
