The code behind XenWord is constantly changed and tweaked. New features are added, features are cleaned up, and lines of code are optimized.
While learning to code, one major challenge has been tracking down bugs in a quick way. For example, widgets were not loading properly under certain circumstances. I’ve known about this bug since May but have struggled to figure out why it happens.
The fix has been determined eight months later – yes – eight months and I now understand the bug.
The feeling of squashing this bug is fantastic. Right now I feel that I could conquer the world. Watch out because new ideas and features are racing through my head.
XenWord is a simple XenForo to WordPress Bridge designed in June 2013, with version 1 sold in January 2014. There have been over 43 releases and feature enhancements since the initial release.
