I’m exhausted. That’s the way it goes when you go to CES. CES is so large, that you’re bound to get tired. There’s tons of walking. And tons of talking. I’m not sure which makes me more exhausted.
What did I see today that was cool?
We bumped into an OQO rep showing their new Tablet PC edition. Nice size in terms of a handheld. I wonder what interesting ways I’d use a Tablet like this.
I also saw a Motion prototype that was equipped with an active digitizer and touch display. I didn’t get a chance to play with it today. Hopefully tomorrow.
Also, like before, there’s still strong interest in Tablets at the Microsoft booth. Lots of people checking out Tablets. It’s very encouraging.
Someone asked me, what was the big thing at the show. At first I couldn’t come up with anything, but now that I think about it, I’d have to say it’s the impending flood of video on mobile devices and computers. There’s been predictions of this in the past, but this very well may be the year where video becomes available in all the form factors and permutations that consumers would like. We’ll have to see.
