HP Tablet PC in High School Chem Class Video

Layne posted a video of a student using his HP Tablet PC to complete a classroom assignment in high school chemistry. The assignment was to edit and in other ways improve or in other ways make the worksheets for the online chemistry textbook on which this video is posted easier for next year’s students.

They use as a guide the five ways to identify when learning is or has occurred in a lesson, as found in Stage 3 of aLEAP. A student made a banner that goes permanently across the front of the classroom as a prompt for learners. Students also use these same five ways included in the aLEAP based Enhanced Daily Learning Plan guide for teachers.

Comments from students included excitement to “Ya mean I havta read those sheets? I’ve avoided (maybe it was “ignored”) them all year so far.”

Layne has posted 27 videos on this site.

Kudos, Layne and Student for a useful video! And great lesson, Layne.
