Microsoft upgrade glitch ?
Just spent 3 hours on the phone to Microsoft.
I upgraded 2 laptops that came with Win7 Starter installed, with 2 retail
CDs, of Win7 Home Upgrade.
Tried using the CDs but was directed to use the "Upgrade Anytime" feature
listed in the laptop start menu, be online, and type in the product keys
that came with the CDs.
All went OK and Win7 Home was installed "over the top" of Win7 starter.
However, both laptops failed when trying to "activate", with the message
"The key is for upgrades not clean installs".
The Techs at Microsoft had to use "remote access" to finally sort it out.
They are "investigating" for any hiccups in the "Upgrade Anytime" feature
in Windows7.
Anyone else had the same problems?
