UBUNTU install disc shows Interbet Explorer icons for all files and folders

I am running XP Pro on a Dell 9150 desktop
When I burned the Ubuntu install disc from the iso I downloaded yesterday,
all the folders and file icons looked normal.
Today, when I inserted the disc to use it, every icon is an Internet
Explorer icon, including the folders, and also within the folders.

What is going on here?

Repost telling us whether filetypes are all the same or different
(yet call up the same IE icon.)

The latter...however, I have now fixed this by changing and then restorign
the icon size.

I would still like to know the _cause_ though...

Nothing to do with Ubuntu...
ANY disc put in the DVD drive showed ONLY I.E> icons.

Oh, I got the impression it was just the Ubuntu disk. You didn't mention any
others. At least it's fixed; that's always good.
