IE8 URL Address now greyed/grayed except xxx.com part

Hi, new to IE8: after hitting return, the URL address gets turned to
grey/gray -all except the xxx.com (or yyy.net) part. This is really quite
irritating and has no benefit at all but I cannot find any option to stop it
happening.

How can I get IE8 to leave the URL address alone ie whole address left black ?

Thanks, gerryp777@hotmail.com

The feature is called "domain highlighting" and was actually a
much-requested improvement for IE 8.

By highlighting the actual domain to which your browser is being
directed, it's easier for users to spot a phish. Not foolproof, but
quite helpful.

One way phishers try to hook us is to use a long and complicated URL
that a user is more likely to click on, simply because they can't figure
out where their browser is actually going.

Just hover the mouse over the address bar and the URL will become
black. Or click in the address bar and it will stay black for as long as
you are displaying that web page.

Personally, I can think of much bigger things to get annoyed over.
