Favorites Not Transferring

Using XP SP3, Firefox 3.6.3 and newly installed IE 8 as of 04/26/2010.
During installation, allowed IE 8 to import favorites from Firefox.
Only 1 or 2 saved bookmarks from each folder created in Firefox made it to
IE 8.
All folders transferred.
In Documents and Settings, ect, incomplete transfer noticed there also.

Any way to copy and paste from Firefox to IE 8?

Why guess that copying and pasting is the way to transfer profile data
from Firefox to Internet Explorer when the web is at your service?

I got these hits from a web search using "export Firefox bookmarks to
Internet Explorer" (without the quotes):

"Exporting the bookmarks from Mozilla Firefox"
