One of the reasons XenWord is modified all of the time is because I learn new ways to code something. Poor pirates love to buy (or download) a new version and “share” the new version with others. I don’t blame pirates. After all, why should anyone pay for something created by another individual when you can just steal it, right? Shouldn’t everyone keep their doors unlocked so anyone can enter, watch TV, grab food out of your kitchen, and even use your facilities?
Actually, I feel pity for those who are stealing a $30 product. Heck, I’ve been giving it away to people who purchased other scripts. A person just has to ask politely. Silly bears pirates.
I found a particularly enjoyable post while lurking around one pirate board. The post stated, “Must-have for all wordpress and XF sites, imo.” Another post followed with, “How can we download this for free.”
The recommendations are quite nice to see. Maybe they’ll be surprised when I do release a free version (maybe in a few weeks). They won’t have to steal because they can simply download it for free.
