Apple OS 4.0: Printing Support for iPad?

AppleInsider is hoping that tomorrow’s OS 4.0 announcements by Apple will include printing support for the iPad. Presently, the iPad cannot print documents. Instead, the document must be transferred to a computer and printed.

The ability to print via Bluetooth or WiFi may likely be part of Apple’s iPhone 4.0 announcement on Thursday. Apple could avoid the need to include the massive amounts of (often buggy) printer drivers used by Windows or Mac OS X by simply supporting a limited subset of printing options.

This would be a nice feature improvement for OS 4.0.

Interestingly, if you go to the Apple iPad User Guide PDF, there is no mention of printing.
