Asus Eee Hacks has one more rumor for those collecting Apple tablet rumors ahead of this year’s Apple Developers Conference:

Supposedly the post’s author has a trusted OEM friend that states that “Apple’s much talked about ebook reader will most likely have a 7″ screen or double the 3.5″ screen of the current iPod touch.”

Hmm.

It ought to read “Apple’s HYPOTETHICAL ebook reader will most likely have a 7″ screen or double the 3.5″ screen of the current iPod touch” – and I’ve been saying pretty much the same. They already have 13.3" MacBooks, why would they mess with a 10" screen factor? Too close in size. A 7" one, still pocketable, if just, makes much more sense, and would provide higher profit margins on per-screeninch basis.
