Book publishers jockey for position

The computer book publishing world has changed a lot since I dabbled in writing. Many of the old publishers are there, but many have re-organized or teamed up for better positioning. The dot com boom and bust led to much of this. I see, for instance, that Paraglyph Press (organized by some of the founders of the Coriolis Group) recently inked a distribution deal with O’Reilly. Keith has a knack for judging where the momentum in the industry is. O’Reilly is one of them.
