Video of 2008 UMPC prototype

TexturaDesign provides a video clip of Intel showing off a prototype UMPC that it expects will hit the market in 2008.

The UMPC is less than a pound, slideout keyboard, connectivity (no WiMax yet), touchscreen, cellphone batteries, uses the Menlow platform with Silverthorn (45nm) and Poulsbo. What a mouthful. Nonetheless I watched the video four times. It’s worth it.

Did you notice the time it took to boot XP? Two minutes it looked like, although kind of hard to tell.
