Estari is selling this cool-looking dual-screen notebook which it says combines “the best aspects of a laptop, desktop, tablet PC and e-Book reader into a solution that provides increased functionality, productivity and mobility with an unprecedented visual workspace.”
The computer, called the 2-VU, has dual 15″ XGA displays with resistive touch capabilities. The processor is a 1.83GHz Intel Core Duo. The rest of the specs are on the link provided above.
The system comes installed with XP which might be fine for large lagging companies and organizations, however, Vista would be a much better match here–in large part because of the better support for touch. I couldn’t find on the site whether a complete set of Vista drivers are available for the 2-VU.
How much does it cost? Well, you know what they say: If you have to ask…..Yes, this is one expensive computer. The DC15 Model rings in at $4350. Ouch. Looks interesting though.
