Ed Holloway to test drive PayPerPost

Tablet developer, Ed Holloway is going to try out PayPerPost on his blog. I’m not so keen on mixing advertising and editorial, but I appreciate his point that the two can be quite similar–as long as he fully discloses what is a compensated post and what is not.

Mixing ads with editorial content is nothing new. There are paid advertising sections in magazines and anyone that’s listened to Paul Harvey on the radio has heard how he melts together his “Page One” advertising with his content, and on and on. For me, I’d like to see some kind of “box” or “dashes” around the “ads.” Maybe place a different background color around the PayPerPost content or use a different font color.
