Comparing Apples and Vistas

During the discussions about whether Apple would ever come out with a Mac Tablet, several people have posted throughout the blogosphere about the current handwriting recognition in OS X. Yes, OS X has InkWell and yes it has some interesting features such as a write anywhere capability and gestures that are supported throughout the OS.

However, there are some significant differences between the handwriting experience in OS X and Vista (or XP for that matter). So much so that it’s time for a video.

So today Bob and I started walking through some scenarios that highlight the handwriting recognition capabilities of the two OSes. I hope to have something I can post by the end of the week.

I think once people see how the two OSes handle handwriting recognition and ink in general, they’ll better understand the benefits of the Tablet experience.
