This Wall Street Journal article takes a look at the Sony Reader–a new e-Book based on E Ink display technology.
The article states that Sony is going to follow the iPod playbook and provide a service to people to download content. Sounds good. Will this be sufficient? We’ll have to see.
There are a bunch of variables that will be at play here–not only the form factor. The content side is a big issue. Will there be the quantiity, quality, or price that consumers will find compelling?
The markets have not been kind to the e-Book world–except possibly now through digitally distributed audible books.
