SearchTIP recognition might hang

If you’ve tried out the SearchTIP you might have noticed a bug in the recognition. Sometimes when you handwrite a query, the recognition seems to stop. Actually, it’s the update that of the displayed recognized text that is being blocked. It’s a bug I know I need to fix. To get around it, simply scratchout something and then re-write what you need to. The recognizer will kick back in again.

I introduced this bug when trying to fix another problem. It turns out that if you handwrite words relatively quickly that the recognizer lags and you can get a lot of needless updates in the recognized text. In the Windows TIP you’ll see that in cases such as this that the recognized text goes to gray. I was trying to solve a similar problem although in a slightly different way. Obviously I have more to do here.
