Installed Vista on the Gateway M280

I finally have Vista CTP Build 5231 running on a Tablet PC. It’s been slow going for me. How long has 5231 been out anyway? Oh, so many other things to do. But all the excuses are behind me now. I finally have Vista running.

Which Tablet did I finally go with? The Gateway M280. Why? Because of the Tablets I own, the Gateway has the best graphics. And in Vista graphics capabilities are extremely valuable at the OS level.

What about ink in the 5231 build? Well, the new TIP is there or rather the TIP sits nicely off to the edge of the screen and pops out when needed. It is for hard-hat enthusiasts though. Hey, it’s a beta!

Next up I need to get a development environment going. I really want to start getting the feel for developing under Vista for Vista.

  1. I agree. Waiting for the next CTP release is a very, very good idea.

I hope the TIP and ink work better in the next build.
