Windows Vista ships today, demoed on Tablet PC

On his blog, Robert Scoble announces that Windows Vista Beta 1 is shipping today. Cool.
No indication yet as to when it’ll be available for download on MDSN though. Some news sites have been indicating that there will be a gradual rollout.

Scoble also says that while filming Chris Jones (Microsoft VP in charge of Windows Vista) for Channel9 he got to see Windows Vista running on a Tablet. Unfortunately, Scoble wasn’t allowed to take pictures of it. Nor did he indicate what the experience was like:

“Chris showed us his Tablet PC running Longhorn. I guess that answers the question about whether there’s a future for the Tablet PC…He wouldn’t demo it for the camera, though.”
