The mystery window

Weird. I was doing some debugging of a Tablet app and a mysterious window popped up with the caption:

TTAPBUT_SLIDERWND4

Actually, the window clipped the caption to: “TTAPBUT_SLID…”. I’m guessing that a pen event was getting translated and something went awry. I was tapping and drawing rapidly near a scrollbar, but I’m not sure exactly what caused the window to appear. I’ve never seen it before.

Unfortunately the client area of the window didn’t appear so a screen capture was useless.

The window was topmost so to get rid of it I simply restarted. I forgot to check the CPU performance. I will if I ever see the dialog again.

I’ll keep my eyes out.
