Sonoma machines

TrustedReviews has pictures from the Intel Sonoma launch party in UK. The tiny white ASUS computer caught my attention. If only it had a digitizer and hinge it would be an interesting convertible Tablet–I like the idea of a built-in webcam. The thin Samsung and Sony notebooks look like great candidates too. It’s kind of disappointing that not one of the 19 Sonoma machines at the launch party is a Tablet. What could be better than a Tablet to showcase Sonoma’s mobile capabilities?

I hope at least that as Sonoma notebooks roll out, that Tablet versions hit the streets at the same time.

Tablets should be a leading technology–not lagging. In the prosumer/SOHO market this is probably very much the case though I’m not so sure about the corporate market where purchase decisions are often made over many, many months.
