WhatIsNew: “Remember that ultra-cool, orange Tablet PC that was used when Tablet PCs were announced? People got excited about it, then wondered why all the manufacturers went back to traditional charcoal gray, silver, and black when they actually released the product.”

Well, now you can have one. The Sahara iTablet i213 sports rubber skins in orange, yellow, blue, and gray. WhatIsNew has a couple pictures of the yellow Tablet skin.

The skin should work well to keep the Tablet safe from scratches. Plastic skin-aside though, what gets my attention about the iTablet is that it’s packed with the speed of a 1.3GHz Pentium M processor–which places it towards the head of the pack of Tablet slates.

Good performance, eye-catching skins…hmm…the Sahara iTablet has all the ear markings of a new class of Sport Tablets.

I can’t wait for CES to give one a spin.
