GreatSchools Empowers Parents

GreatSchools is an independent, nonprofit organization that empowers and inspires parents to participate in their children’s development and educational success. They provide information and help to support the idea that parents may choose the right school for each of their children.

Parents choose GreatSchools to find the ideal schools for a chld, get expert advice, share stories and find answers to their parenting and education questions.

In the past year, more than 35 million people visited the GreatSchools website.

You may subscribe to their free email newsletter, My School Stats.

You can also sign up for information about a different school and subscribe to other free GreatSchools newsletters.

It’s a great source of information for educators wanting to know what’s happening in other schools and what parents think about schooling!

For example, they offer a list of the top five high schools in each state. You can also read comments by parents of students in these schools!

I especially like their suggestions in Choosing the Right School.

I started a subscription several years ago to follow their reports about a school attended by a grand daughter. Each time I check, their information includes something about at least one item I had not considered as clearly.

Perhaps others will also fine it useful.
