This Sunday I’ll be watching the news from NASA as the Phoenix Lander descends onto the surface of Mars. Coverage begins on NASA TV at 3:30PM Pacific time with landing time to be approximately at 4:53PM.
In this mission, NASA will be looking again for signs of life on Mars. This time they’ll be looking near the polar ice caps.
And with all of this news, don’t forget about the two amazing Mars Rovers (Opportunity and Spirit) that despite numerous setbacks (wheels that don’t turn, dust on the solar panels) keep chugging along. Absolutely amazing.
