One-to-One Institute and the Consortium for School Networking (CoSN) offer One-to-One Information Resources. The original site (“The Ubiquitous Computing Evaluation Consortium”) was developed by SRI International under a project funded by the National Science Foundation.
This site will be useful for educators interested in knowing where other school districts/states are undertaking one-to-one initiatives, as well as background information, news, announcements and research about one-to-one teaching and learning programs for K-12 schools and organizations across the United States.
One-to-one programs assign each student with a mobile PC or other notebook PC for “anytime and anywhere” learning. Students use these PCs regularly with academic purpose in and out of classes.
This website provides free, vendor neutral information about K-12 one-to-one computing in order to facilitate decisions about deploying one-to-one strategies in local communities.
In March 2006, SRI International transferred their site to CoSN and the One-to-One Institute.
