Tablet PC Schools: Eller College of Management, University of Arizona

The Eller College of Management University of Arizona has a Learning Technologies Strategic Plan 2004-2007. It is a Tablet PC Initiative.

(The plan articulates ways) to innovate the curriculum, to create an environment in which excellence in teaching is fostered and recognized, to increase integration of mobile technology into the curriculum, and to generally implement and support learning technologies in a way that facilitates teaching and learning, anytime and anywhere.

Eller College of Management is one of 31 higher education institutions in the U.S. and the only in Arizona that have been selected by Hewlett-Packard to receive this grant in 2005. HP designed their grant program to support the development of mobile technology environments that positively impact student learning.

Students seem satisfied with their participation in this initiative. Here’s the pre/post student satisfaction survey Spring 2006. Other surveys also available.

Kudos to Learning Technologies Manager Veronica Diaz and other faculty for your initiative.
