Don Doge is looking for a big bursting sound

With the recent reports that YouTube may be worth $1 Billion or more, Don Dodge warns of an eminent bubble bursting.

Market corrections and consolidations are inevitable. Timing them is the catch.

The best I can do is watch for precipitating events. The Justice departments’ antitrust decision fell in sync with the Dot Com decline. Katrina coincides with a slowdown in the hyper-housing market in the US, and now who knows what might pop the valuation bubble.

Actually, if you wait for any of these major events, it’s probably too late. Yes, predicting the future isn’t easy.
