HomePlug Powerline Technologies Conference 2006 will convene October 4-5,2006,
Marriott Hotel, San Francisco Airport, Burlingame,CA.
This may seem off-beat for educators, but it may be worth checking out to learn what cost saving HomePlug powerline technologies offer to students or maybe even to schools. I don’t know the answer.
HomePlug technologies enable any home’s (or school’s?) electrical wires to deliver both power and digital media through any standard AC outlet.
HomePlug AV customers can send digital audio and video between equipment in different rooms — without having to install new wiring!
As the communications, computing, services, and entertainment markets continue to converge, many important questions arise.
At this conference, you can hear directly from members of the Consumer Electronics Association, and top CE companies like Sony, Sharp, and RadioShack as they talk about how HomePlug technologies supply an answer.
Looking west from the top floor of the Airport Marriott, I can see up Trousdale Avenue, Burlingame, to where Kenny, Art, George, Paul and others of us used to fish and camp at the now drained lakes on the former Mills dairy. Ken’s now a retired United Airlines pilot. I received a welcomed email from him a week ago. He told me Art died years ago. I wonder where the others are?
