Greg Sepesi offers the Peck bird information manager.
It integrates photographs, recordings, etymology, identification tips, life history descriptions, 43 state checklists, six Canadian province checklists (AV, MB, NB, NL, ON, YT), and species assessment data.
Greg’s program requires Palm OS devices. If you are a Palm user and a birder, this may be a useful ticket to learn more about North American birds.
I haven’t used the package, but find it an intriguing approach to direct field learning. Perhaps a mobile PC software developer will arrange with Greg, a software engineer, to make his database accessible with a Tablet PC or Ultra Mobile PC.
