University High School students in Orlando, FL may participate in the Global Technologies Magnet Program to learn about the expanding technology based industries close to their campus.
Students learn about the systems used in the high tech worlds of computer graphics, medical imaging, information technologies, web and network design, and entertainment or military simulations with the help of our partner organizations … All seniors in our magnet program must attend Research Design classes taught by UHS teachers and The University of Central Florida (UCF) Simulation Department graduate students.
Kudos to University High board and educators who look off campus to validate your program.
And congratulations for your creed, the Latin phrase, “Contio Laureata,”
exemplifies our University philosophy: Each classroom is “An assembly of honored scholars.” I think many students in other schools will benefit from the higher order thinking skills required by your Document Based Questions now that they know how to find them.
Did I miss the description, or do you include use of advanced mobile technologies as learning tools on campus, such as Tablet PCs, etc.? Either way, we wish you the best as you continue focusing on student learning for tomorrow’s practices.
