Admiring the snow in Phoenix

I went for a long walk yesterday to admire the snow capped mountains around Phoenix.

Snow?, you ask. Phoenix? Yes! Well, kind of. This weekend it snowed about six inches on the north end of town. And northern Arizona was blanketed with over two feet. Locally, snow was as low as the 2,000 feet mark.

Yes, I’ve seen snow in the Phoenix area before, but I’ve never seen it accumulate this much.

The snow won’t last long, though. Temperatures are expected to return to the upper 70s by the end of the week. 🙂
