Seems like at almost every meeting, conference, lunch with an entrepreneur, or TV tech interview that I’ve been at recently someone brought up how their next product is going to be like, better than, marketed better than, or will kill off the iPod. It’s becoming a cliche.
For most of us, it’s not going to happen, although it can lead to some humorous attempts.
Along these lines, Robert Scoble points to this laugh-out-loud video about what it would be like if Microsoft were to create the packaging for an iPod-like device.
The video picks on Microsoft, but it could be any number of other companies. I know I can fall into traps like this too–over-explaining a product or over-complicating a program.
