The current research of Barbara Weaver, Clemson University, focuses on Tablet PCs and related inking technologies. She holds a joint appointment with Educational Technology Services and the Office of Teaching Effectiveness and Innovation. Weaver predicts that Tablet PCs and digital ink technologies will produce more wide-spread adoption, more pedagogically-sound uses, and more significant increases in learning than conventional laptops and notebooks spawned. She will give a keynote address titled “The Case of the Missing Link” at the upcoming First Workshop on the Impact of Pen-based Technology on Education.
