Did you see the Tablet PC the intern used this AM on CNBC? They kept referring to it incorrectly as a “laptop.” Laptop went out of favor in the late 1980s, because of lawsuits against manufacturers for the excessive heat that burned users’ laps. That’s about the time manufacturers started using the term notebooks instead of laptops. Was the notebook this AM a Gateway “convertible” better known generically as a Tablet PC? Hmmm, CNBC intern, please let the senior staff know the difference between a laptop, notebook, and Tablet PC.
