The Center on Education Policy (CEP) studies affects of the Federal funding of schooling under the No Child Left Behind program. CEP reports that 85% of the 133 previously failing then restructured schools in Michigan performed well enough on the state’s assessment to make adequate yearly progress (AYP), and 20% of the restructured schools exited out of the NCLB school improvement process altogether because they had made AYP for two consecutive years. The Center’s analysis also found that schools implementing four or more school improvement strategies were more likely to make AYP. CEP offers other reports about various schooling and education topics.
