Joseph Redden, congratulations for going to the mat for students in the Cobb County, Ga., schools. I’m sorry to read that the school board accepted your resignation.
The board president commented on Redden’s impending departure: “This is a sad day for our schools, because we are losing a leader,” said Johnstone. “Joe Redden is a man of integrity whose biggest concern has always been doing what was best for the kids of Cobb County.”
As the old farmboy saying goes, “You know you’re a leader when you get shot in the back by your own people.” Sorry that happened to you. Thanks for your courageous efforts to update Cobb County schools. Best wishes in your next venture.
