Is the Tablet PC the Future of College Computing?

Matt Villano asks in the August, 2005, issue of University Business, Is the Tablet PC the Future of College Computing? He describes why he thinks the answer is “Yes.” “So many tablets, so little time.” Great phrase, Matt. Great examples of Tablet PC uses in higher education.

Heads up, Microsoft and Tablet PC hardware manufacturers and branders. Matt also offers this pregnant observation. By and large, few, if any, academics say they have any practical knowledge of tablet PCs beyond what they’ve seen in advertisements and on TV. Here’s another example of an opening for Tablet PC evangelists to turn instructors for the mass of intelligentsia and literati (or is that an oxymoron?).
