It’s interesting that Microsoft doesn’t have a voice in this area. I guess it’s too hardware oriented, although some of the most challenging and factorable problems are in software–which would seem to be perfect for Microsoft. I see that Intel is even getting in the game. Maybe Microsoft is going to wait for Apple to do something first. Nah, they’re probably just waiting to implement something in .Net in Longhorn. Hehehe.

I like how Sony is approaching Robotic exploration. Sometimes you have to aim high to achieve demonstrable returns.

Sensing technologies are going to lead to some impressive Robots–especially as performance continues to improve. Like the early days of flight, someday we’ll encounter the right confluence of thinking and brute force.
