I was all ready to post this morning that I’ve been pleasantly surprised by how little “comment” spam I’ve been getting lately–and then when I logged on this morning there was a spam comment waiting for me to delete. Shucks. Things were going so well the last couple weeks.
I have started disallowing comments on threads that spammers use. It’s made a big difference. A couple of the spammers have jumped to other threads, but I’ve blocked those too.
Maybe I need to adjust MovableType so that it automatically blocks comments from all posts let’s say older than 30 days. Hmm.
