Have you tested your home for Radon?

Radon (Rn) is an odorless, tasteless, radioactive, noble gas dangerous to humans. The gas is the leading cause of lung cancer among nonsmokers and second cause of lung cancer in smokers.

Radon comes from the natural decay of uranium and can become trapped in buildings.

January is Radon awareness month and the perfect time to have your home tested for Radon. You can purchase a kit online from Amazon or buy locally from a hardware store. The test is simple.

If levels are too high (4 picocuries per liter) then a contractor can fix the home so that it is safe to occupy.
