Innovative Teachers Program

The Microsoft Innovative Teachers Program supports educators as we develop and share successful methodology and protocols of 21st century learning, incorporate them into their own professional learning, and then into the student learning environment.

Today’s teachers are asked to prepare students for something that doesn’t exist, using tools that haven’t been invented, to solve problems that have not even been identified as problems—in short, to prepare students to succeed in an unknown future.

A learning environment that helps students acquire 21st century skills must also help educators tasked with preparing these students. Educators must be well versed in and practice as professionals the same skills we teach our students.

The Microsoft Innovative Teachers program helps build community, collaborate with colleagues, provide access to content, and challenge educators to use technology in new ways.

Collaborate with educators from over 100 countries on the Innovative Teachers forum.

Discuss student learning projects that incorporate elements of 21st century learning, and share challenges with other teachersn through the Innovative Teachers Network.

And there’s more. Kudos, Microsoft for this initiative. Keep it up. We will increasingly use this kind of support.
