Use ALV as a tool to practice your skill of distinguishing patterns from among the sights, sounds, etc. to which you attend at a store, on TV, on a mobile device; notice how these patterns gain your attention for a specific product or activity; and notice how patterns of those sights, sounds, etc. come immediately before you choose how you will respond, whether you will ignore or use them to accomplish something you want to do.

TV commercials offer complex sensory input to sort through to identify which ones lead most directly to the purpose of the ad.
