the key to installing a
64 bit operating system

is if your computer is
64 bit ready.

It will have to be a clean install, you can't upgrade 32-bit XP to
64-bit. You can install it on a different partition of its own, E will
be fine.

No. You can not upgrade from 32-bit to 64-bit. The only way to get
64-bit is by a clean installation.

You *can*, but you don't need to. To me, there's no good reason to
dual-boot. If you want 64-bit, install it cleanly and get rid of the
32-bit version. You'll have to reinstall your programs, but to me
that's less of a problem that having to deal with a dual-boot
situation.

Partitioning a drive into two is essentially the same as having two
drives. The software can't tell the two situations apart.

No; You could; Doesn't matter.

Do you accept collect calls?

Do you realize you've just told everyone in the world (including thieves)
that you live at 1201 North Park Ln in Alpharetta, GA 30004?

Windows XP Pro 64 bit only is OEM, do you have the CD and key to install
it? It will have to be installed in its own partion as a fresh install.
