Wordpress comments page numbers (pagination)

Hi, we have set Xenword comments display options "enter comments per page: 50" and we have articles with hundreds of comments. This means there might be several pages of comments on articles.

On Wordpress currently you can find Older comments and Newer comments links from top and below of comments but in order to get to last page of comments you need to click several times "Newer comments" or to continue reading comments you need to guess on which page you were.

Would it be possible to add pagination to comment pages like this:

This would be based on your theme, right? Choose the pagination option in Settings -> Discussion. You should either get page numbers or next/previous. Use the custom CSS in WP 4.7 to change the look.

Got it. If your Wordpress theme is missing comments pagination by default, here is the code how you can enable them editing comments.php:
