Windows XP Task Manager

I did a Windows repair, not the one using the console, and the task
manager isn't all there now. When I hit Ctrl, Alt, Del I get a
window with no tabs and no button to click to close it. I can
highlight an application and stop it but the window can't be closed.
Any easy fix for this?

It's running in "Tiny Footprint" mode. Double click on the border to
bring it back to regular mode.
