Could someone please tell me if there is a
dedicated Windows 7 OS Newsgroup, like this one for XP.

My server does not have that group. There are 2 italian windows 7
newsgroups. So far my experience with W7 is better than Vista, still
unstable, but not as bad as Vista. Still has the Media Player 12, which is
a crippled version of MP11.

Win7 Via NNTP: alt.windows7.org

But there aren't, and it doesn't look as though there ever will be.
Some say this is may well be because of the stupid behaviour of a few
posters in the Vista General news group on this server...

Correction...
"... may well be because of the stupid behaviour of a few posters in the
Vista General news group ..."
-->
"... may well be because of the stupid behaviour of a few unbelievably
prolific and annoying posters in the Vista General and other related Vista
news groups ..."

Then again - it may just be 'moving on'. Newsgroups (I love them) are one
of the oldest forms of communications on the Internet - but they can be
confusing for the "McDonald's Menu" mindset. ;-)

Duh...I ordered a number 1 like I always do, but didn't get what I liked. Oh
well, I guess I'll like the fish sandwich now. It just so much easier to
change what I like instead of trying to figure out those really confusing
menu numbers and what number the Big Mac sandwhich combo is now.

MS decided not to create any Win7-specific newsgroups so post your questions
here instead:
http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/category/windows7

PS: All MS Answers forums *are* available via NNTP Bridge client beta!

But there isn't going to be one here, MS has made it quite clear they
have no interest in adding new newsgroups to this server.
